Are Your Network Marketing Techniques Still Working?
Forget about using the techniques your network marketing up line is teaching you. Im sure you have done these things, bugging friends and family, the three foot rule, hotel meetings and handing out fliers. These people did not end up with tens of thousands of people in their organization handing out fliers! How degrading. Have you ever walked up on a car with a flier thinking it was empty and come face to face with someone? I still do not know who thought of that strategy.
The first week of my network marketing venture, I was given some very old techniques to work with. I was instructed to list everyone I have every know and contact them all to see who wanted to make money. When I was finished there was not one person who wanted to talk to me again.
When I actually did find someone who would speak to me, they asked questions I was unable to answer. This made me more frustrated.
Faced with nobody left to approach, since everyone who knew me was now running the other way, my up line said the best thing to do was to purchase leads from them for $5.00 each. I sent emails that went undelivered. I made phone calls to more numbers that were no longer in service. If I got someone on the phone they were hostile and cold. I thought these were supposed to be leads. All this left me feeling more rejected and incompetent. I have to admit my self esteem was taking a nose dive.
After investing much of my time and money, I began to feel like I did not have either left. I began to think my sanity was going also. I worked so hard and ended up with nothing.
I thought of quiting but I decided there had to be another, better way. I was on a mission to uncover the secrets of lead generation. Well, I found the life boat I need so badly to save me from sinking, it became the one thing I knew I could count on.
